How to make it

  • Cream butter, flour and sugar together.
  • Beat eggs, add milk and add to creamed mixture.
  • Cook in heavy pan until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Cool about 10 minutes, add vanilla.
  • Pour into pastry shell and top with meringue.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven until meringue is brown.
