Cranberry Orange Bread

- 4 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 cups fresh cranberries; coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1 cup walnuts; chopped shopping list
- 2 oranges shopping list
- 2/3 cup hot water shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup oil shopping list
How to make it
- Grate peel from the oranges, cut in half and squeeze out the juice, reserve juice and peel.
- Sift together dry ingredients into a large bowl.
- Add cranberries and nuts, toss to coat in flour.
- Stir in orange juice and peel.
- Add water, egg and oil, stir to blend.
- Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.
- Bake at 325 degrees for one and a half hours or until done.
- Makes two loaves.
- NOTES : A triple recipe fills 9 baby loaf pans, bake for one hour. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
- Makes great holiday gifts.
- You can also make into muffins and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
