This is a recipe that was passed to my mom from her Italian friend.

Ingredients
  • 2-6 oz cans tomato paste
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato puree
  • 1 large can water
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup Romano cheese
  • *1/4 tsp baking soda

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients, except baking soda. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours covered.
  2. * Add baking soda during last ten minutes
