Hearty Beef Penne Recipe

- 1 3/4 cups penne pasta, uncooked shopping list
- 1 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato puree shopping list
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can beef broth shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons italian seasoning shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped shopping list
- 2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded shopping list
How to make it
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile in a dutch over, cook beef and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
- Stir in the tomato puree, beef broth, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 to 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Add spinach; cook for 1 -2 minutes or until spinach is wilted.
- Drain pasta; stir into beef mixture.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese; cover and cook for 3 or 4 minutes or until cheese has melted.
