How to make it

  • Soak beans of at least 8 hours and set aside
  • In a Dutch oven, sauté 10 cloves garlic in 1 tsp oil for 1 minute
  • add remaining oil and brown chicken for 3 minutes on a side
  • Add 2 TBS brandy and toss chicken around, and remove chicken from pot.
  • Add chicken stock and bring to a boil
  • Add beans, salt, and banquet garni, 1 clove minced garlic, and 1TBS Brandy and bring to a second boil
  • Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally
  • Add chicken, browned garlic, and red wine, and cook of 1 hour more.

    love the recipe too but in your description how much of the wine did you drink??????????????? i think the chicken got shorted on the wine and you are slurring your words or else you need speech therapy !!!! hahahaha
