Homemade Marzipan uncooked

- 1/4 pound ground blanched almonds shopping list
- 1/4 pound powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 egg white shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- ................................................................................. shopping list
- recipe 2 shopping list
- 16 oz sifted icing sugar ...confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 1lb ground almonds shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring shopping list
- 1 tsp lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Sift the icing sugar in a bowl with the ground almonds. Add the remaining ingredients and mix to make a stiff paste. Knead until smooth. (As a substitute to raw eggs it is possible to use a little water mixed with brandy to bind the paste).
- note::: the finer you can get the almonds the nicer you marzipan will be

I do have one that is from my dad's collection, but I enjoy trying out other recipes for many foods I am making... especially deserts!
