Extra Creamy Coleslaw Recipe
This is another great slaw recipe for those that like a creamy version. Always a big hit when we make these for family outings or potlucks. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 8 cups finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts

Directions
  1. Blend sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice.
  2. Mix until smooth then add carrots, cabbage and peanuts and tow to blend with dressing.
  3. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.

Cathy: This sounds delicious and very similar to my own slaw. I use heavy cream and cashews but I will try yours with the buttermilk. I have never used that~~~~~~~Sas
