Ingredients

How to make it

  • Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Set mushroom caps aside for later. Chop mushroom stems in to small pieces, set aside.
  • In a pan, melt butter and add onions. Cook the onions until they are soft and translucent.
  • Once the onions are translucent, add the mushroom stem pieces and cook until they are soft.
  • Add the pepperoni to the mixture and cook until warm.
  • Over low heat, add the ketchup and stir until it all combined.
  • Remove from heat and add cheddar cheese to mixture, and stir until melted.
  • Fill the mushroom caps, and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until cooked through and mushroom caps have softened.
  • *You will probably have leftover filling, save it. It’s yummy!

    Ketchup, Catsup, Smatchup. It's tomato sauce with spices added. If you made it yourself it would be a great recipe. Acutally the King of Sauces, Henry Bain Sauce, contains whatever that word is that we won't mention. LOL.

    This does sound good...now I'm a "ketchup nose wrinkler" too...but I can see Heinz 57 or pizza sauce or something. Will try with the ketchup, though.
