Snickerdoodles

It is hard to believe something so basic is so good.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp cream of tartar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 Tbsp sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- Variation (chocolate): shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa can be substituted for 1/2 cup flour shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Blend flour, cream of tartar baking soda and salt into creamed mixture. Combine 2 Tbsp sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1inch balls; roll balls in sugar cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. (Chocolate cookies should be baked at 400 degrees for 6-9 minutes.)

Hiya, I jus got done making a batch of your Snickerdoodles, they turned out great, exactly as I remember them to taste. I'll be adding this to the list of cookies that I bake at Xmas, thanks for the great recipe. ~Steph~
