This is my grandma's recipe for Baked Pot Pie Bows. This was one of many meals served during the Great Depression. Recipe can be doubled, easily. I cut it down to feed my husband and myself.

  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 1 green bellpepper - chopped
  • 2 cups Farfelle Pasta (bows)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbs. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste (optional)
  • 1 can tomato soup

Directions
  1. Brown meat, onions and pepper.
  2. Cook pasta as directed on package.
  3. When meat mixture and pasta are done cooking, mix all together; along with the milk, butter, salt and pepper.
  4. Pour in to a baking dish.
  5. Bake @ 350* for 40 to 45 minutes; uncovered. You want the bow tips to brown a bit.
