Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

3 cups milk

6 medium potatoes, pared and thinly sliced (6 cups)

2 tablespoons chopped onion

Directions

Make white sauce of first 5 ingredients.*

Place half the potatoes in greased 2-quart casserole; cover with half the onion and half the sauce.

Repeat layers.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour.

Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer.

Serves 4 to 6.

*Shredded cheese may be added to sauce.

Tried this last night tastes great. but found it a little watery think it mite work good replacing milk with thickend cream or sour cream, will let you know how it goes when i try it.
