How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Wash the chestnuts.
  • Make a small cut on the side of each chestnut.
  • Put the chestnuts on a tray, sprinkle with water and sea salt.
  • Roast for about 45 minutes.

    Will have to drag out the old iron skillet and do this in my fireplace some cold evening. With a bottle of wine... heaven.
