How to make it

  • Bake pie crust.
  • Immediately sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the mozzarella.
  • Cool.
  • Cut tomatoes into wedges (I chop them instead) and drain on paper towels.
  • Arrange tomatoes on the cheese in the crust.
  • Chop basil and garlic in food processor.
  • Put on top of the tomatoes, as evenly as possible.
  • Combine remaining 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, mayonnaise & pepper.
  • Spoon onto basil mixture, spreading evenlt to coat.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until golden & bubbly.
  • If desired, garnish with basil leaves.

    Elga,

I made a 13x9 pan for my hubby's birthday & ended up never getting a taste of it. Maybe everybody just stood around the table until it was gone! You will absolutely love the combination of flavors. Enjoy.

I have never tried that, dandelion. It makes sense though, doesn't it? If you try doing it using that method please let me know what you think.
