How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • Lightly butter a large casserole dish
  • Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling with 3 - 5 pinches kosher salt and 1 T EVOO until al dente.
  • Drain well and rinse
  • While pasta water is coming to a boil
  • Brown meat with onion, garlic, Italian seasoning and worcestershire
  • When all pink color has disappeared add sauce and mushrooms
  • Simmer until spaghetti is done
  • When spaghetti has been drained and rinsed, stir together with sauce/meat mixture
  • In a seperate bowl, mix cheeses together (I add a dash of italian seasoning to the cheese)
  • Spread half the spaghetti mixture in the casserole dish
  • Top wtih half the cheese
  • Add remaining spaghetti
  • Top with remaining cheese
  • Bake the spaghetti in the center of the oven until the top is golden and bubbly about 25 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
