Spaghetti Pie

- 1 1/2 pounds spaghetti shopping list
- EVOO shopping list
- kosher salt shopping list
- 1 jar your favorite spaghetti sauce, (We like Classico Mushroom & ripe olive) shopping list
- 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained shopping list
- 3 T italian seasoning shopping list
- 2 T Chopped garlic shopping list
- 1 lb 93% lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 small white onion, minced shopping list
- 1 T worcestershire shopping list
- salt and freshly ground pepper shopping list
- 1 c grated parmesan shopping list
- 2 c shredded mozzerella shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- Lightly butter a large casserole dish
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling with 3 - 5 pinches kosher salt and 1 T EVOO until al dente.
- Drain well and rinse
- While pasta water is coming to a boil
- Brown meat with onion, garlic, Italian seasoning and worcestershire
- When all pink color has disappeared add sauce and mushrooms
- Simmer until spaghetti is done
- When spaghetti has been drained and rinsed, stir together with sauce/meat mixture
- In a seperate bowl, mix cheeses together (I add a dash of italian seasoning to the cheese)
- Spread half the spaghetti mixture in the casserole dish
- Top wtih half the cheese
- Add remaining spaghetti
- Top with remaining cheese
- Bake the spaghetti in the center of the oven until the top is golden and bubbly about 25 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
