How to make it

  • Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy then blend in eggs and vanilla.
  • Add combined flour and baking soda alternately with sour cream.
  • Mix well after each addition then chill overnight.
  • Divide dough into four portions.
  • On well floured surface roll out one portion to 1/8” thickness then chill remaining dough.
  • Cut with cookie cutters into desired shapes then place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 325 for 10 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown.
  • Repeat with remaining dough then frost with coffee frosting.
  • To make frosting dissolve coffee granules in water.
  • Beat butter then blend in coffee mixture and vanilla.
  • Add sugar then mix until well combined gradually adding cream to reach spreading consistency.

    The frosting is what caught my "eye" when I tried to visualize this recipe. Coffee frosting! YUM! With all these great recipes around, I'll never get out of this kitchen! Thanks for another wonderful cookie recipe!
