Christmas Cookies With Coffee Frosting

- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup butter softened shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 4 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- Frosting: shopping list
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules shopping list
- 1 tablespoon hot water shopping list
- 6 tablespoons butter softened shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 3 cups sifted powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy then blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Add combined flour and baking soda alternately with sour cream.
- Mix well after each addition then chill overnight.
- Divide dough into four portions.
- On well floured surface roll out one portion to 1/8” thickness then chill remaining dough.
- Cut with cookie cutters into desired shapes then place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 325 for 10 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown.
- Repeat with remaining dough then frost with coffee frosting.
- To make frosting dissolve coffee granules in water.
- Beat butter then blend in coffee mixture and vanilla.
- Add sugar then mix until well combined gradually adding cream to reach spreading consistency.

The frosting is what caught my "eye" when I tried to visualize this recipe. Coffee frosting! YUM! With all these great recipes around, I'll never get out of this kitchen! Thanks for another wonderful cookie recipe!
