Cream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe
This is a recipe that has been in my family longer than I have. This is a holiday must and one we give as gifts. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3-1/4 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions
  1. Cream butter, shortening and cream cheese then add sugar and cream 5 minutes.
  2. Beat in eggs one at a time then add 1/3 of the flour and baking powder.
  3. Fold with mixer gently then add additional third and fold then add remaining third and fold once more.
  4. Do not over mix then bake in greased and floured tube pan for 90 minutes.
  5. Do not open oven when baking.
  6. Cool 30 minutes then remove from pan.

Rich but surprisingly easy.


Love pound cake....I can just imagine how tender and moist this must be. Can't wait to try it!
