How to make it

  • Combine all indredients in a large 8 quart soup pot.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium high heat,
  • Yeilds one gallon.
  • Take your beef brisket and add to mop simmering on stove.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 hours. Add water as needed just to cover meat.
  • After 3 hours remove meat from mop and place on a platter.
  • Let brisket cool for 5 minutes.
  • Using your finger tips, press 1/3 cup dry rub into both sides of warm brisket.
  • Roast brisket on your grill for about 30 minutes on each side; basting with mop left over every 10 minutes.
  • Let brisket stand for several minutes before slicing..
