The Best Rich Buttermilk Pie

A favorite. An especially rich custard, made with buttermilk, is poured into an unbaked pie crust and baked. A wonderful addition to the Thanksgiving table.
Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted shopping list
- 3 beaten eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1-3/4 cups sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl, add the melted butter to the beaten eggs, whisk slightly
- Add buttermilk, blend slightly
- Combine sugar and flour, whisk
- Add to the wet ingredients
- Add vanilla
- Blend slightly with a hand whisk
- Pour into an unbaked 9 inch pie crust
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 35-40 minutes or until browned
- Remove from oven, place on a wire rack, cool
