Great tri tip, it is very tender, and the bbq sauce is just right

Ingredients
  • 3 pound tri tip, leave fat on
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 - 1 1/2 tsp of montreal seasoning
  • for sauce:
  • 1 cup of ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 3/4 tsp worshtishire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • liquid smoke(optional)

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients for sauce in bowl and stir well. Season tri tip on both sides. Place in the middle of a large sheet of heavy duty foil. Pour bbq sauce over it and fold edges together creating a pocket thats sealed to keep steam in. Add foil pouch to a baking sheet or dish and let cook on 350 for about 2-3 hours until tender when sliced. Slice thin and serve.
