Turtle Topping

Vanilla flavored caramels are the foundation for a fast and incredibly easy topping for cookie bars, cakes, tortes, and quick breads…….. courtesy of chocolate chocolate.......
Ingredients
- 24- vanilla- flavored caramels unwrapped shopping list
- 3- tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons milk shopping list
- Pinch of salt shopping list
- 1/2- teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Place the caramels , milk, and salt in a small, heavy saucepan and set over moderately low heat
- Cook until the caramels melt down, about 9 to 10 minutes
- Stir from time to time with a wooden spoon or flat wooden paddle
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 1 minute
- Use the topping immediately
- Note;………..for a nutty turtle topping , make the topping above spread it on then sprinkle the chopped nuts over it ……your choice
- Makes 3/4 cup……..
