How to make it

  • Combine sugar, butter and peppermint extract in large bowl.
  • Beat at medium speed until creamy.
  • Reduce speed to low then add flour and cornstarch.
  • Beat until well mixed then cover and refrigerate one hour.
  • Heat oven to 350 then shape dough into 1” balls and place 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned then allow to stand 1 minute.
  • Remove from cookie sheets and cool completely.
  • Combine powdered sugar, butter, extract and enough milk for desired glazing consistency.
  • Stir in food color then drizzle over cooled cookies and immediately sprinkle with crushed candy.
