Lemon Hazelnut Logs

- 2 cups butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups light brown sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon rind shopping list
- 5 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice shopping list
- 2 egg whites beaten with 2 tablespoons water shopping list
- 2 cups hazelnuts finely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar and lemon rind until fluffy.
- Sift flour and salt together then add to butter mixture.
- Add lemon juice and mix well then chill several hours.
- Shape into fingers about 1-1/2 " long and 1/2" in diameter.
- Roll in egg white beaten with water then roll in chopped nuts and bake 12 minutes.
