Russian Tea Cakes Recipe
These are a holiday favorite that has been around forever. I got this recipe from my mother-in-law shortly after I got married and have been making them ever since. They are a great cookie that everyone seems to enjoy.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup confectioners sugar for decoration

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In medium bowl cream butter and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine 6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar and flour.
  4. Stir into butter mixture until just blended then mix in chopped walnuts.
  5. Roll dough into 1” balls and place them 2” apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 12 minutes in the preheated oven then when cool roll in remaining confectioners sugar.
  7. Allow to sit 5 minutes then reroll in confectioners sugar.
