Sounds really good, Dugger - I'll have to see if I can locate the Old English Cheese Spread at my store. Thanks - and high 5! :) Vickie

yumm, yumm....I am wanting to make a cheeseball sometime this holiday season. But I can't ever find that Old English cheese spread. I will look harder now. :)

Just a sidenote here-the town I went to high school in Ash Grove Mo. Is the birthplace of Nathaniel Boone, Daniel's grandson (? don't hold me to that..but I know they are related!) Every fall they have a Nathan Boone Rendezvous. I haven't been in years but it makes the news! LOL

You can really modify this easily. Replace the parsley with crushed nuts or use parsley with some finely chopped red peppers for Christmas. Coat is with chopped pumpkin seeds for Thanksgiving. Hmmm.. have not figured out July 4th yet. Red, White and Blue...???

OK, now for the big question. Why Daniel Boone? Well my wife's grandmother started this recipe which is now a family standard. Her husband's name was.... you guessed it. Daniel Boone. Not THE Daniel Boone but A Daniel Boone.
