Batter was nice consistency, cookies cooked beautifully. Totally lacked flavor from my original pizzelle recipe. Not as crisp when cooled either. Followed recipe to "T" and hate I wasted the ingredients as I threw away half of batter and cooked cookies.

Isn't it funny how a certain food can transport you in time? I was raised with these and my aunts would make batches of them every Christmas. I wish I had the pizzele iron that belonged to my aunt. I will bookmark until I find one and sigh while I remember all of the good times we had.
