Ingredients
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, cut into 1/2 " cubes
  • 3/4 cup firm butter, cut into 1/2 " cubes
  • 1 - 2 tbspn ice water
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling or topping
  • Drizzle:
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tbspn milk

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425F. Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Stir flour and salt together in a bowl, then cut in cream cheese and butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Form pastry into a ball, adding water if necessary until it holds together. Shape into a flattened rectangle on floured surface. Roll out pastry to a 16 inch square, cut into 4 inch squares.
  3. Divide filling onto pastry squares. Moisten edges of each square and fold over to form a triangle. Place on baking sheet. Press edges with tines of a fork dipped in flour. Pierce tops to vent. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Combine confectioners' sugar and milk in a small bowl and stir until smooth. Drizzle over tops of turnovers using a spoon. Serve warm.
