Orange Basil Roast Chicken

- Large oven bag shopping list
- 1Tsp flour shopping list
- 1 large roasting chicken shopping list
- 8 large fresh basil leaves shopping list
- 1 large orange thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 medium onion sliced and cubed shopping list
- vegatable oil shopping list
- 1 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 180 c
- shake flour into the bag and place in a baking pan.
- Loosen the skin of the chicken over the breast by slipping your fingers or a knife under the skin.
- Place the basil leaves and 4 orange slices under the skin.
- Divide the onion cubes and remaining orange slices between cavity of chicken and the bottom of the bag.
- Brush the chicken with the vegetable oil.
- Sprinkle with the pepper
- Place chicken in oven bag on top of onion and orange slices.
- Close the oven bag with a nylon tie.
- Cut 6 slits in the top.
- Bake for 1.5 hours or until the chicken is tender.
