Slop Drop Cobbler aka Dump Cake

A super, easy dessert, better known as Dump Cake. My husband renamed it Slop Drop and that's what we call it around here. Even the most novice baker can make this dessert.
Ingredients
- 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (in juice) shopping list
- 21 oz. can cherry pie filling shopping list
- 1 box white or yellow cake mix shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans shopping list
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, cut into thin slices shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350ยบ. Grease a 9 x 13" pan. Layer the following:
- Spread undrained pineapple in bottom of pan. Follow with can of cherries, then sprinkle dry cake mix on top of cherry layer. Sprinkle walnuts on top and dot with butter or margarine.
- Bake for 50 mins. until top is golden. Serve warm or cold. You can place a dollop of whipped cream on top. A scoop of vanilla ice cream next to it doesn't hurt either!
