Slop Drop Cobbler Aka Dump Cake Recipe

Ingredients

20 oz. can crushed pineapple (in juice)

21 oz. can cherry pie filling

1 box white or yellow cake mix

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, cut into thin slices

Directions

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a 9 x 13" pan. Layer the following:

Spread undrained pineapple in bottom of pan. Follow with can of cherries, then sprinkle dry cake mix on top of cherry layer. Sprinkle walnuts on top and dot with butter or margarine.

Bake for 50 mins. until top is golden. Serve warm or cold. You can place a dollop of whipped cream on top. A scoop of vanilla ice cream next to it doesn't hurt either!
