Ingredients

How to make it

  • Dissolve the sugar in the half and half or cream by stirring and heating.
  • Do not boil.
  • Cool , add vanilla and chill in refrigerator.
  • Once well chilled, process in your ice cream maker according to instructions.
  • When forming a soft formed custard texture , add the ginger.
  • Then freeze well at least overnight
  • This will not freeze solid and it's texture is more like a soft custard.
  • You can still scoop it out. though
  • The flavor is wonderful
  • Makes a small amount but serve it with a small ice cream scoop and you should get at least 6 servings
