I use this same recipe when I bake pb cookies. Not overcooking them is the key to getting a soft chewy cookie. In fact I tend to undercook mine a little bit.

I made them everyone loved them . I added the pic . Don't they look great (lol) . I baked them for about 10 mins ....great recipe

I just made these and they are amazing! My husband agrees too, he just couldnt voice it while stuffing his face :) mission accomplished. Thank you!

Now I'll admit to not being a chef, however, I followed this recipe exactly. I found the cookies dry and they burnt at their recommended cooking time.

These got a kiss on the cheek and a cookie mouthful of "wow these are amazing!" thanks XD

Great recipe. I baked them for 9 minutes at 400 and they were perfect. My fiance said they were the best peanut butter cookies I've made yet. I love to bake cookies and he loves to eat them.

IM THE KEEPER OF ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR RECIPES! LOL!

I was wanting to make peanut butter cookies today, and i just stumbled upon this recipe! it must be fate.

I joined this only to say that I completely disagree with everyone here. I did not like the end result. I followed the recipe as directed as well. sorry.

The peanut butter cookies were the best I have ever made. I added about 2 or 3 more teaspoons of peanut butter to give it just alittle bit more peanut butter taste. Also if you want a perfect cookie, not to soft not to hard then set oven for 350 for exactly 10 minutes and then let sit for a couple of minutes.

Don't try to make all the cookies unless you like leftover cookies. I made 10 or 12 and put the rest of the batter in fridge for fresh cookies later.

Anybody leaving neg feedback did something wrong.

I was in the mood to make peanut butter cookies and although I have lots of cookbooks, I thought I would try this one since it didn't make a huge batch.
They came out extremely dry and baked in much less time....and I followed the recipe exactly.
After the first sheet came out of the oven, I added some oil to the remaining dough and even so,they still came out really really dry.
I won't make these again!

I used chunky peanut butter and the batter pretty much stayed crumbly the whole time. I think I might go back and add some more butter and try again. The cookies came out fine, albeit crumbly; they taste quite good. Baked for about 8 minutes.

Just a note for those of you having issues with dryness and the cookie burning or cooking too quickly. Check the expiration date on your flour, baking soda and baking powder. I'm a major baker come Christmas time and bake tons and tons of cookies every year. In 06 the first coupla batches of cookies I made turned out flat, burned easily, or were so dry you nearly choked. A friend suggested checking the expiration dates and sure enough, my baking powder was out of date. Something to think about. I made these cookies today and they were fantastic!

This recipe is awesome! I tried it, only minus the extract and baking powder and plus canna-butter instead lol. They turned out great! Only thing is, the poster put 4 servings, not sure how many cookies they believe is in a serving but I got about 14 jumbo cookies. Thanks very much for the recipe, will use again, with or without the special. butter! ;) oh yeah, i also turn the temp to 350 also like a few others had done, great cookies!

I'd add less flour ... and decrease the baking temperature.

yeah definetly decrease the baking temp. that worked for me.

For a slightly unhealthier but even better cookie, add another half cup of flour, another half cup of sugar (I did this because my peanut butter was low-sugar.. otherwise, it's probably unnecessary) another stick of butter, and you're in heaven.

All in all though, this recipe is great!!
