How to make it

  • Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400.
  • Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Cut into 3 strips along fold marks. Cut each strip into 6 rectangles. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until golden. Remove from baking sheet. Cool on wire rack.
  • In a medium bowl with electric mixer at low speed, beat blue cheese, cream cheese, cream and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Split pastries into 2 layers. Spread 18 halves with 1 TBS. cheese mixture. Top with remaining halves and spread with cheese mixture. Sprinkle with walnuts and parsley. Top each pastry with 1 apple slice. Chill before serving. Makes 18 pastries.

    These sound good. I don't know if I can split the baked pastry dough in half without breaking it but I'm going to give it a shot! I love the ingredients in your recipe and will definitely try this soon. By the way, I you have a Trader Joe's in your area, they have a really good puff pastry dough in the freezer section.
