Ingredients
  • Two Cheese Party Pastries
  • ½ package (17 ¼ oz.) frozen pastry sheets (use 1 sheet)
  • 1 ½ cups crumbled blue cheese (about 6 oz.)
  • 1/2 package (8 oz, size) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
  • chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 medium Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced

Directions
  1. Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Cut into 3 strips along fold marks. Cut each strip into 6 rectangles. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until golden. Remove from baking sheet. Cool on wire rack.
  3. In a medium bowl with electric mixer at low speed, beat blue cheese, cream cheese, cream and lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Split pastries into 2 layers. Spread 18 halves with 1 TBS. cheese mixture. Top with remaining halves and spread with cheese mixture. Sprinkle with walnuts and parsley. Top each pastry with 1 apple slice. Chill before serving. Makes 18 pastries.

These sound good. I don't know if I can split the baked pastry dough in half without breaking it but I'm going to give it a shot! I love the ingredients in your recipe and will definitely try this soon. By the way, I you have a Trader Joe's in your area, they have a really good puff pastry dough in the freezer section. Thanks for the recipe!
