How to make it

  • Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until soft and creamy; gradually add ½ cup confectioners' sugar, beating well.
  • Add vanilla and flour, mixing well.
  • Stir in oats and chopped nuts.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Roll balls in confectioners' sugar and cool on wire racks.
  • Makes 4 dozen.

    Notcho!!! HOW ARE YOU?!?!? I've missed you so much, and it's nice to be back on here and connecting with old foodie friends again - these cookies sound magnificent, and I have printed off the recipe...gotta try these!

    My doctor suggested that we eat more oats. Oats and mac nuts! This must be the perfect recipe! These must melt in your mouth and I cannot wait to taste one of these. This is a very good recipe. Thanks so much for posting it here!

    Wow, sweetie - another cookie recipe I must try. These sound great, too - and I don't think I have ever had these...ever, and they sound wonderful. I love the macadamia nuts with the oatmeal....and I am always looking for oatmeal cookie recipes. This one is new to me.
