Lavender Cookies

- 1/2 cup Crisco shortening shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter softened shopping list
- 1-1/4 cups fine sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon very good vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 2-1/4 cups all- purpose flour shopping list
- 4 teaspoons excellent quality lavender flowers shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, cream the shortening, butter , and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in the extracts.
- Combine the flour, lavender, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well
- Drop rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets lightly coated with non-stick cooking spray.
- Bake 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes ( per batch ) or until golden.
- Cool for 2 minutes before removing to cooling racks.
- Store in airtight containers.
