Chicken With White Wine And Mushroom Gravy Recipe

Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 sm can of condensed golden mushroom soup

1/2 c. white cooking wine

3/4 c. chicken broth or stock

1/8 c. butter softened

4 oz. softened cream cheese

1 sm onion diced

3 cloves of garlic minced

Olive or grapeseed oil

Pepper

Penne pasta-enough for 4 servings

Directions

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat

Add onions and saute until soft

Add garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes

Put onions and garlic in a bowl and set aside

Turn heat up to med-high

Add oil to coat bottom of the pan

Brown both sides of the chicken

Place chicken in a 9x13 pan

Deglaze the skillet with the wine and broth

Add soup and onion mixture

Stir until smooth

Add cream cheese and stir until smooth and creamy

Pour over chicken and place in the oven

Cook for 30-35 minutes

While chicken is cooking prepare pasta according to directions

Serve chicken over pasta

I also added to the onions a little red bell pepper diced and some leftover mushrooms I had on hand. I didn't add it to the original recipe because the peppers were not appealing-looking. They tasted good, but for the presentation I would leave them out.
