Party Cabbage Slaw

- 2 medium heads of green cabbage, shredded & chopped shopping list
- 1 large onion, shredded & chopped shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups white wine vinegar shopping list
- 1 cup canola oil shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup chicken stock shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sea salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard shopping list
- 1 Tsp mustard seeds shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoons celery seeds shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pimento peppers , or use some red chopped bell pepper instead as this added for color shopping list
How to make it
- Layer the cabbage and onion alternately in a large
- glass or ceramic bowl.
- In a medium saucepan,combine the vinegar with the oil,sugar,chicken stock, salt,peppers,dry mustard,celery and mustard seeds.
- Bring to a boil,then pour the mixture over the cabbage and onion.
- Do not mix.
- Let the slaw marinate in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours or
- overnight.
- Toss before serving
