Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat bacon drippings in a heavy saucepan. Saute the onion until it browns, stir in garlic towards the end,.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, stir and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring a time or two until the sauce is thick as you like it.
  • Use warm for basting and as a dipping sauce for the cooked meat.
  • Variation: For ribs try adding 2 or 3 tbs of dark brown sugar to the sauce duing the simmering period.

Sounds great! My son is trying to come up with his "own" BBQ sauce recipe and I told him to start off with this one and play with it. (I will use it just as you have posted it!!)
