How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425.
  • Remove pie crust from refrigerator 10 mins before using to soften slightly. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unfold pie crust onto baking sheet. Spread fig jam on crust leaving 2" border around the edges. Place plums on top of jam. Fold edges over leaving center exposed and press slightly to seal. Brush outside of pie dough with egg wash and sprinle sugar over all.
  • Bake till dough is cooked through and golden,about 45 mins.
  • Serve warm with ice cream.

    I had to look closer at the picture. I thought I was seeing strawberries. I am definitely going to try this one--I've never made or eaten a plum tart and it sounds absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe with us.

    I had to come peak. The picture reminded me of the Pflaumen Kuchen I used to make. Looks just as delicious.
