How to make it

  • Heat Oven to 375
  • In a small bowl,mix 1 tbls. brown sugar,2 tbls.white sugar and 1 tsp.cinnamon,set aside.
  • With a fork,mix dry ingredients in a large bowl,using only 1 tsp.cinnamon.In a small bowl beat eggs,add the melted butter or oil.
  • Make a well in center of dry ingredients.Stir in eggs.Fold in milk,vanilla and sourcream,then oats.Stir in apples,raisins and chips until just combined.
  • Grease muffin tin,fill each cup about 2/3 full,muffins rise but not too high.Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture equally over the tops of each batter in individual cups.
  • Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes,until a toothpick comes out clean.Let sit in pan for 10 minutes before turning out of tin and cooling completely.
  • You can use more chips or raisins depending on taste.

    Love the cinnamon chips in these, and the possibilites of reduced fat and sugar - gotta try these soon...they sound excellent!
