Hawaiian Pork

- Hawaiian pork shopping list
- 1 lb pork ( chops or loin)- cut up in cubes shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup salad oil shopping list
- Cut pork into 1 inch cubes. Beat together eggs and flour then dip pork into batter in small patches. Heat oil in skillet and fry pork slowly then drain excess oil from the pan after pork has been cooked. Drain pork on paper towels after they have fried. You will return the meat to the pan on top of the vegetables. Do not stir this. They will cook a little more as you steam the vegetables. shopping list
- 1 cup green pepper- cut in inch chunks shopping list
- 4 stalks celery sliced or chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice-------if you don't have enough juice from your can you can use apple juice to substitute shopping list
- 1.2 cup pineapple chunks--------I think a small can would work for this------you could use fresh pineapple but you would need to steam the vegetables a little longer shopping list
- 1/4 cup chicken broth shopping list
- Cut peppers and celery and add the pineapple to the skillet with the meat on top. Pour the pineapple juice and 1/4 cup of broth to this cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes for the veggies to cook. Do not stir. shopping list
- 3 Tsp. cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 Cup vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 sugar shopping list
- 3 Tsp soy sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup chicken broth shopping list
- Combine corn starch with sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and seasonings and broth. Cook until thick. Pour over meat and vegetables right before serving. shopping list

- I put the ingredients and the directions together. I thought it worked better with this recipe.

You know I'm a big fan of your recipes! I'll have to try this one! I was actually looking for a great Hawaiian chicken recipe! I'll try this and sub the pork or maybe I'll just do both! Thanks Sadie! Perfect timing!:)

I finally made this with the chicken and it was perfect! Just the right balance of sweet and sour! I made it exactly as written, just subbing the pork for chicken and using red and green peppers.
