Ingredients
  • Hawaiian Pork
  • 1 lb pork ( chops or loin)- cut up in cubes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • Cut pork into 1 inch cubes. Beat together eggs and flour then dip pork into batter in small patches. Heat oil in skillet and fry pork slowly then drain excess oil from the pan after pork has been cooked. Drain pork on paper towels after they have fried. You will return the meat to the pan on top of the vegetables. Do not stir this. They will cook a little more as you steam the vegetables.
  • 1 cup green pepper- cut in inch chunks
  • 4 stalks celery sliced or chopped
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice-------if you don't have enough juice from your can you can use apple juice to substitute
  • 1.2 cup pineapple chunks--------I think a small can would work for this------you could use fresh pineapple but you would need to steam the vegetables a little longer
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • Cut peppers and celery and add the pineapple to the skillet with the meat on top. Pour the pineapple juice and 1/4 cup of broth to this cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes for the veggies to cook. Do not stir.
  • 3 Tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 Cup vinegar
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 3 Tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Combine corn starch with sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and seasonings and broth. Cook until thick. Pour over meat and vegetables right before serving.

Directions
  1. I put the ingredients and the directions together. I thought it worked better with this recipe.
