Slow Cooker Brisket Of Beef

- 1 whole well trimmed beef brisket(about 5lbs) shopping list
- 2tsp minced garlic shopping list
- 1/2tsp black pepper shopping list
- 2 large onions,cut in 1/4" slices and seperated into rings shopping list
- 1 bottle(12oz) chili sauce shopping list
- 12oz. beef broth,dark ale or water shopping list
- 2Tbs worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1Tbs packed brown sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Place brisket,fat side down in slow cooker. Spread garlic evenly over brisket;sprinkle with pepper. Arrange onions over brisket. Combine chili sauce,broth worcestershire sauce and brown sugar;pour over brisket and onions. Cover;cook on low 8 hours
- Last hour of cooking,turn brisket over and stir onions into sauce;spoon over brisket. Cover and cook for the last hour.
- Transfer brisket to cutting board. Tent with foil;let stand 10 mins.
- Stir juices in slow cooker. Spoon off and discard fat from juices(juices may be thinned to desired consistency with water or thickened by simmering,uncivered in saucepan.) Carve brisket across the grain into thin slices. Spoon juices over brisket
