- ½ stick butter shopping list
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts shopping list
- 1 package good smoked sausage, casing removed and sliced shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup chopped celery shopping list
- ½ cup diced green bell pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic shopping list
- 1 small can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 large can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
- 2 tablespoons Chef Paul Prudhomme?s Poultry Magic seasoning shopping list
- 2 cups chicken stock/broth shopping list
- cooked rice shopping list
How to make it
- In a large Dutch oven, melt butter; add chicken and cook until chicken is almost done.
- Add sausage, onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic.
- Cook, stirring often, until sausage takes on some color and the vegetables are tender.
- Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bay leaves and seasoning.
- Pour in chicken stock.
- Bring mixture to boil; reduce heat and simmer 30 to 45 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
