Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place meat in large heavy pot.
  • Season with salt and pepper; add onions and cover with water.
  • Cook until meat falls from bones (several hours)
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Tear meat into shreds and return to stock.
  • Add your next 8 ingredients and cook for one hour, stirring occasionally.
  • Then add your next 4 ingredients and cook slowly until thick.

    Sounds much different then my recipe, I live in Savannah, Ga. got my recipe from a lady that has been making it for years for every yearly family reunion. She can't attend the reunion unless she brings her famous Brunswick Stew. lol
