Fans
- 8 smoked sausages, like Kielbasa, or Summer Sausage, bun size
- 8 buns
- 2 large onions, julienned
- 2 red peppers, julienned (they use green, but I like red)
- 1 tub fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small can sliced black olives, draineed
- 1 large tomatoe, chopped (I add this)
- Garlic infused oil (2T or so)
- Butter
- Spicy Mustard, Mayo, Dill or Sweet Relish, if desired
- Large grill / griddle pan
Directions
- Heat griddle
- Toss veggies with a little garlic infused oil
- Melt a pad of butter or margarine on griddle and smear
- Add veggies
- Add sausages, next to veggies
- Turn veggies often, and cook to desired softness
- Spread bun open and place on griddle to heat
- Add a sausage on each bun and top with veggies
- Add condiments/relish if desired

A great story and a great recipe I love grilled veggies. This recipe and the story reminds me of Fennway Park sausage vendors outside the ball park.
You can smell the wonderful aroma for blocks.
