Honey Mustard Short Ribs In The Crockpot Recipe
HONEY MUSTARD SHORT RIBS IN THE CROCK POT This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Haddox Estate in Austin, Texas in 1992.

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 tablespoon spicy mustard
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup bottled hickory smoked barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Directions
  1. Place short ribs in crock pot.
  2. Combine mustard, garlic, honey, salt, pepper and barbecue sauce then pour over ribs.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Refrigerate several hours or overnight then skim any solidified fat from top.
  5. Remove beef ribs and heat in microwave or conventional oven.
  6. Dissolve cornstarch in water then add to barbecue sauce.
  7. Cook and stir in microwave or stovetop until hot and slightly thickened.
  8. Pour hot sauce over warm ribs.
