Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place pan on medium-high heat and sauté tempeh and onion in water until onion is translucent. If all water evaporates, add a few more tablespoons.
  • Add remaining ingredients to pan and mix well (feel free to alter amounts to suit your tastes).
  • Serve warm on lard-free tortillas and enjoy.
  • **Also works great in chili, or as a topping for nachos or salads.

We had your Rockin Tempeh Tacos tonight and loved them! This will definitely be a regular dish. Just hot enough for my taste. I followed the recipe "as is" but I replaced the cayenne (don't like the taste) with a combination of dried chipotle and ancho peppers. Wow! Next time I plan to use the filling for burritos. Should be great.

I just came back from a week on the road for my job, which means eating too many meals in restaurants, so this will be a cooking weekend! Your tempeh tacos are at the top of the menu. I love it when I find a delicious-sounding recipe and every single ingredient is already in my kitchen. Thanks!
