Ingredients

How to make it

  • Drain the beans. Add the drained beans to a large saucepan and cover with fresh cold water. Bring the water just to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the beans until tender. Drain the beans well.
  • Saute onions with the bacon until onions are done and bacon cooked.
  • To the drained beans in the saucepan, add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Heat over medium low heat ( with lid) until the flavors are blended and the mixture is hot throughout approximately 1 hour.

    Going to try this tomorrow.

Nice beans. Doubled the recipe. Added an onion and a pound of smoked bacon. Sauteed the onion in half the bacon, cut up. Used my own tangy Bbq sauce.
Was afraid to put all the mustard in there but next time maybe I will.

Someone gave me a bottle of bbq sauce, so I made these with that. These were really good with my pork chop (pictured added) but I think I would add some onion next time. You definitely could taste the mustard, but that was just at the start. Very good. Thank you very much!
