Orange Pecan French Toast with sauce

- 4 eggs shopping list
- 2/3 cup orange juice shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 8 slices of Italian or French bread- ½" thick shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or 5 halves per slice shopping list

- orange syrup - Ingredients shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup (3 oz.) orange juice concentrate shopping list
How to make it
- Beat eggs, juice, milk, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg together to combine.
- In a 9 X 13 inch pan, arrange 8 slices of bread in a single layer. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or 2-24 hours.
- Prior to baking. Place butter in 15 X 10 inch pan and place in oven to melt over bottom surface of pan. Place slices in buttered pan, place pecans on top. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. (till golden brown) Serve with orange syrup.

- Prepare Orange Syrup. Combine butter, sugar, and orange juice concentrate in a saucepan over low heat until melted. Do Not Boil. Remove from heat and cool 10 minutes. Using a mixer or wisk, beat till smooth. Serve Warm. Pour over Orange Pecan French Toast. Makes ¾ cup.
