Ingredients
  • Angel Hair pasta
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (less if you dont like it spicy)
  • Olive oil
  • 1/4 stick of butter (not margarine)
  • Fresh grated Parmesan cheese (to taste)

Directions
  1. In a small bowl add 1tbs olive oil
  2. finely chopp your garlic and add that to the oil
  3. chifffonade the basil and add 3/4 of that to the oil mix
  4. add the chilli flakes and fresh Parmesan
  5. the longer you can let this sit, the more the flavors can "bloom"
  6. Pay close attention to your pasta as angel hair can go from al dente to a thick blob of goop in the blink of an eye.
  7. Its ready to go when it is still a little firm but whatever you prefer...
  8. Butter the noodles after you strain them, this will help the oil/spice mixture distribute evenly.
  9. Toss it, garnish with the rest of the basil and more Parmesan.
  10. Enjoy

Sounds perfect, especially for a garlic lover like me!

I don't know what chiffonade means. :(

Right up my alley.

That really sounds good, wholesome and easy. I'm saving this and hope to make it soon. Thanks.

Simple but simply delicious -- it doesn't get any better than that!
