Lemon Curd Buttercream Frosting

I love lemon curd. I use my old family recipe and place it in this buttercream frosting that is great on homemade pound cake, lemon cake, sugar cookies, white cake.....well you get the picture.
Ingredients
- 1 pound powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- 3/4 cup lemon curd shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 stick softened butter shopping list
- 1 cup shortening shopping list
How to make it
- In mixer bowl, place the first 5 ingredients.
- Whip until creamy.
- Slowly start adding the butter a little at a time until it is all incorporated.
- Then slowly add shortening.
- Whip this mixture on high speed for at least 10 minutes.
