Another winner from Grandma Robert's recipe box. Her comments in the upper corner say "especially good"

Ingredients
- 2 cups of warm water (her note says save water from boiled potatoes)
- 2 pkgs of yeast
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 Tbsp of salt.
- 1 cup of mashed russets potatoes (peeled boiled cooled, reserve cooking liquid)
- 1/2 cup of softened butter
- 3 1/2 cup of flour
- 4 cups or more of flour
Directions
- Her recipes are quite sparse with directions.
- Dissolve the yeast in the warm water with the sugar and salt.
- Let it proof 10 minutes.
- Mix the potatoes and butter together, add proofed yeast and the initial 3 1/2 cups of flour.
- Mix with electric mixer on med speed until smooth about two minutes.
- add remaining four cups of flour and knead for 10 minutes.
- Return to a greased bowl and let rise until double
- Punch down, and make into loaves.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

Sounds so good and like it came from your Grandma,I am thinking it will make two 8" loaves or maybe it is two 9" loaves,wonder if it could just be made into a round loaf.Thanks for sharing.

Tried this recipe. Easy to follow. Bread was great, nice texture. Am now making my third batch in as many days. This time I added baby carrots that went thru the food processor.
